| APRIL, 2007 2 week program $2,750 3 week program $3,350 We will study with several generations of master artists from Merveilles de Guinée, Groupe de Sorel, Wamali Percussione de Guinée, Les Ballets Africains and Les Etoiles de Boulbinet Participants will live comfortably and modestly in a maison near the atlantic ocean, while socializing and experiencing the food, customs & traditions of local ethnic groups. Students will have the opportunity to arrange private drum, dance & music lessons, language & cooking lessons, shop the local markets and arrange for custom clothes and instruments to be made by local artistans! 4 week & CUSTOM programs possible! You can stay in a hotel with air conditioning, but this will cost extra. ![]() Boat trip to Room Isle '06 - April is the dry season - temps range from 90's, Harmattan winds and intermittent rain storms common. - Local cuisine is rice based with fabulous sauces combined with fish, chicken and vegetables. Fresh fruit, eggs, bread and bottled water provided as well. Vegetarian meals available by request. - Guinea's official language is French. Other tribal languages spoken include Susu, Malinke & Fula.
- Valid passport and Yellow Fever vaccination required. - Participants must take anti-malarial medication. - For current shots and medical reccomendations please contact your physician and referrence the Center For Disease Control - $500 cancellation fee not including airline penalties if flight has already been booked - Guinea is 85% Muslim. - Currency is Guinean franc.
