"Be melting snow, Wash yourself of yourself" - Jelaluddin Rumi |
||
The words, thoughts and poems of 13th century mystic poet, Rumi, do not descend from merely Sufi, Islam, Christianity or Judaism. Rumi's verses are the language of love - the endless search, tireless devotion, ecstatic connection and a deep and timeless vision of beauty at once personal, yet shared with more readers than any other "poet". RumiLove was born out of a mutual connection and inspiration shared by percussionist, Lara Gonzalez, and saxist/flutist, Erik Lawrence. Musical improvisations are driven by a seemingly endless supply of Rumi texts. Lara & Erik's complimentary spirits spontaneously and selflessly compose. RumiLove weaves mystical, sensual landscapes and elevates both player and listener to unknown vistas . . . For more info about this project email Erik Lawrence |
