"jigsaw"
jumping into my power
and harnessing the chaos
swirling it above my head
I channel it
right
back
out
through my heart
and my art
just tryin to do my part
of this jigsaw puzzle
A shiny piece
on the corner
over the edge
and don't forget
the inside
and of course the middle,
the center, the core,
ground
zero

"movement's rhythm"
bodies flow,
rhythms grow
into magic melodies
of transformative threads
weaving in and out of hearts
pulsing in the same pocket of power
actions of grace sparking and igniting
the passion of who we are called to be

"meterless love poem on second thought"
cicadas & stars
this world of ours
magic and mojo
swirling around
a dead man's words
striking a chord
tuned to the heart
chakra
your eyes
wrapped in green velvet
a spiral bound heart
words buried,
forgotten
out in the open
this art
does part
waves of
sorrow
transforms
madness
into freedom
this barn on a farm
sacred space
where dreams take place
up to the dreamer
to wake the vision
a day in West Nile
half full with the painful promise
of a questionable tomorrow
in tandem thoughts
of other days
trance dances
fully engage
the artful two
again
entangled in enchantment
with you

"lunar landing"
the incredible brightness of a being
an amazing glow
emanating out from under,
asunder,
somewhere below
below something
above someone
surrounding sound
grounding luminous roots
in preparation for take-off
but a lunar landing
of my understanding
of the inner workings
of your mind
creates a tether
of disbelief
forever attaching
flashes of you
to this fearless heart
shaking head, heart and soul
like a tornado blown leaf

"air of illusion"
is there anything I can do
to help you through
this passage overdue?
hovering above ground
I can't look down
for fear of backwards motion
thoughts slip easily
to the soft
rocking of the ocean
on a boat afloat
the seas of midnight blue and silver
the breeze at noon
snatches a tune
some rhythm and
colored water
shifting
changing
re-arranging
inside
outside
everywhere
not fair
this air
of illusion

"free world"
words weave spells
cast in rhythms
pulsing with lush melodies
that linger lazily
in the smoky air of inspiration.

"sorry 'bout the bucket"
warm water flows
as the moon
like liquid red
surrounds the heart
fishing, wading
slipping and sliding
no use hiding
what's already on the table
so let's eat the moment
ain't no time like the present.
