handcrafted in Guinea, WA.

If you are looking for the biggest
bottom on earth this one has it!
Sticks included, two 18" cow-
skin heads, 31"tall.

These beautiful rattles were handcrafted in
Guinee, WA
. Each have a different note and are meant to talk to each other, one in either hand.

ETOILES GONGOMA - $200



This is a beautiful, handcrafted,
instrument from Guinea, WA.
We are selling it on behalf of our
friend, SORY BANGOURA from
Les Etoiles de Boulbinet.

This is coastal Guinea’s version of
a thumb piano - grande and pregnant with sound possibilities originating on the coast. Handcrafted from gourd, wood, re-bar and saw blades, it’s unique sound is
intrinsic to this culture’s music.

This gongoma was created in 2004 by
Sango from Les Etoiles de Boulbinet
- a group who shines the spotlight on this instrument. He has since passed away, but Sango left this melody maker with carved krin and djembe decoration.
