Holy Britney! Lara and Yael are happy to share the news that Music For All Seasons has just kicked off a partnership between Virgin Megastores and MasterCard. The two companies will jointly donate $1 to MFAS, each time a customer uses their MasterCard.

Oct '03
- Happy Autumn! The duo is busy this fall covering new artistic and geographic territory while continuing to dance and drum on familiar ground. The two are beginning their second year on the artist roster for Music For All Seasons, a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the performance of live musical events in a wide range of institutions - including children's hospitals, retirement facilities, Juvenile detention centers, nursing homes, medical centers, halfway houses and prisons - MFAS helps aid the healing process, physical, mental and spiritual. Lara is beginning her 5th year as an NJPAC Early Learning Through the Arts Wolftrap teaching artist. To learn more about this wonderful residency program visit the
NJPAC website The duo is conducting an artist in residency after school program at the Morristown Montessori School in NJ and can be found teaching school workshops in and out of the state.

Yael is collaborating with two NY singer/songwriters, Jeff Jeudy & DeAngela Napier. Both artists have voices that compliment each other beautifully and Yael's added percussion has given the songs another dimension. Visit their website www.unnecessaryobjects.com

- "Doorways" recorded live at Hungry Goat Studios. Lara and Yael recorded a new spoken word piece in the studio at the end of June for the CN8 cameras as part of a feature about the Percussione Duo. Jennifer Starr contributed some of her most magical vocal work yet and the always amazing Glen Fittin pulled it all together with a delicious frame drum groove. The session was completely improvised around a new poem written by Lara and as always John Kurgan was our engineer extraordinaire. Visit the audio/video page to listen to a sample . . .

- Lara and Yael released a 4 Song EP in '02 as a work in progress. It was recorded, engineered, mixed and co-produced by John Kurgan at Hungry Goat Studios. They hope to release their full length CD in '04. And the ladies recorded their live performance energy for a promo video short filmed and edited by the amazing Mathieu Borysevicz!
