Our vision is to help create micro-finance and small income opportunities for artists in Guinea, Conakry, where these instruments are hand crafted. Opportunities that can make a difference in their daily & professional lives.

Our travels to Guinea, West Africa have afforded us heart-opening opportunities to experience a world that is vastly different from ours. Along with the richness of this musically vibrant & dancing culture we have seen people struggling to survive in extreme poverty. We are inspired to help our fellow artists who have generously shared their art, hospitality & kinship with us faithfully over the years.

In collaboration with these artists we facilitate the crafting and import of drums and other indigenous instruments. This yearly project facilitates work, food and clean drinking water for months, as well as contacts in the United States for Guinean artistes.

We encourage our associates at
schools, community groups, arts and other organizations to consider purchasing these powerful instruments that can be used in therapeutic, educational, and artistic environments, highlighting team and community building and diversity.

Volume discounts are available. If your budget is petite, perhaps you will consider working collectively to adopt a djembe orchestra”! Here is a rich learning opportunity for all ages encouraged to collectively raise funds, purchase and care for authentic instruments for their classroom or group. Instruments that will connect them musically to a unique, creative and vibrant culture.

Of course we are always happy to arrange instruction or a performance for your group and share the
magical rhythms, dances and songs we have been learning. We thank you for taking the time and we are looking forward to many days of drumming, dancing & singing avec vous.

Regards,

Lara & Yael
